Sub-Committees

Chairperson(s) responsibilities: Attend to their required responsibilities; inform the Steering Committee of any problems, concerns, and/or needs by their committee; if they are chairing PG, they must be present at PG to oversee their committee   

Fundraising Committee

Present and coordinate fundraising ideas.  Set goals for each year.

 

Registration Committee

Maintain student data; design and collect all registrations; gather missing information; coordinate PG student registration check-in and check-out at Blaisdell Concert Hall; work with and coordinate with the Security Chairperson to coordinate security volunteer posts, etc.; recruit junior parent volunteers for PG.  Staff volunteer check-in after graduation.  Maintain and provide the Steering committee and committee chairpersons with a spreadsheet of all volunteers scheduled for PG.

Donations Committee

Work with the Steering Committee concerning soliciting donations for items distributed to PG students; solicit, receive donations, package donations for distribution to students, and coordinate distribution of items to students at venue; prepare and send out thank you notes.

 

Decorations Committee

Coordinate obtaining decorations and decorating venue.

Food/Refreshments Committee

Order and arrange for delivery of lunch and drinks for PG students, band, faculty and PG committee following the rehearsal on graduation day; coordinate volunteers for setting up and distribution of refreshments to students; have coolers of water on the buses on route to and from the venue.

 

Program/Activities Committee

Coordinate and manage “fun” and “hands-on” activities at the venue for the students to do (i.e., live band, airbrush tattoos, neoprint, Extreme Rental rides, hypnotist, etc.); coordinate parent volunteers to oversee the activities at the venue.

Transportation Committee

Coordinate the arrival and departure of buses for PG students and parent volunteers to and from the venue; work with security, steering committee, etc. concerning parking of buses, parking area for parents picking up their children, etc.

 

Security Committee

Provide parent security at Blaisdell Concert Hall (after graduation and returning from venue) and at venue; security will work with the registration committee on provision of security volunteers at Blaisdell upon check-in for students.
